If you’ve found your way to this page, chances are you’re interested in hiring a ghostwriter, editor, or book coach, or you have questions regarding my process.
Check out the answers to some common questions clients ask before working with me.
As the title suggests, I act as a ghost, meaning no one but you will know I exist. Think incognito. Once we’re finished working together, the end product will be your book, with you as the author. I don’t take credit for it. Ghostwriters earn a fee. You earn the praise.
Anyone who has a story to tell. I specifically work with inspiring entrepreneurs and thought leaders–think coaches, consultants, founders, and academics.
My goal as a ghostwriter, editor, and book coach is to tap into your mind and capture your voice. The book will be based on either the manuscript you provide or interviews with you. As we collaborate on each chapter, you’ll be able to suggest edits to guarantee the book sounds just as if you’ve written it.
As the named author, you retain 100% of all rights to your book. This includes the copyright, print license, and film, TV, foreign, and adaptation rights.
No. My fee can be paid in monthly installments over the course of our work together or in full, completely your choice. My fee covers all work minus out-of-pocket expenses (like travel, proofreading, and transcriptions) which get billed separately.
Absolutely! Through my book coaching service, I can provide feedback, accountability, support, and industry insight while you write your first draft. You’ll never feel frozen facing an empty screen. With my prompts, you’ll be able to tap memories so they flow out like water from a spigot. As your book GPS, I’ll make sure you don’t lose your way.
Aside from being a former journalist with stories in publications such as the Chicago Tribune, Associated Press, and The New York Times, I have an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University Journalism School and I’m a Certified Ghostwriter. Certified Ghostwriters are a rare breed. We all went through California State University - Long Beach’s Ghostwriting Professional Designation Program, the first academically-sponsored ghostwriting training in the world. The year-long master’s-level course teaches ghostwriting theory, writing techniques, editing, and industry insider knowledge.
I am part of a network of ghostwriters. So I’d be happy to refer you to other ghostwriters in my circle.

I highly recommend Sandra’s editing work. When trying to finalize my manuscript, Sandra was fast, thorough, and efficient. We completed three edits. In each case, she identified areas of redundancy or areas that needed more clarity and context for readers.
She also suggested ways to restructure sections and helped come up with chapter titles, including a title for the manuscript. By the end of the process, we were able to produce a clean, very readable, well-received manuscript. It was a great process for me.
